What began through missionary work and academic research became the foundation of Project Butterfly - a reflection of my love for humanity and community support. With a background in business, UX, technology, and art, my goal is simple: to make a difference by bringing back the village mindset, where helping others and sharing resources truly matters.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Jessica moved to Georgia to study art before discovering her passion for business, community impact, and human-centered work. With a professional background in customer service and insurance, she developed a deep understanding of people, communication, and the significance of meeting real needs with compassion and care. After participating in missionary trips that broadened her perspective on service and global development, Jessica seized the pandemic as an opportunity to further study technology, global development, and UX design. She combined those experiences with the village-centered principles she witnessed through mission work to create Project Butterfly — an organization dedicated to community support, rooted in dignity, connection, and practical resources for the community. Jessica currently lives and works in Georgia alongside her husband, her mother — who proudly serves alongside her in the organization — and their beloved dog, Odie. Her mission is to continue identifying the needs within the community and creating spaces where people are empowered to thrive, shine, and make a difference.
There are many meanings behind butterflies. The inspiration is from their meaning of new beginnings and transformation.
